Welcome to Market Main Street, a financial blog where you can learn about finance and the markets from a group of people who have spent time in the industry
Background – I have worked in industry for almost a decade, both as an employee at two of the largest Investment Banks in the world & personally investing.
My specialization is in secondary markets, so that is where I will spend most of my attention. More specifically, I worked in Equities Sales & Trading, which is the division that deals with stocks – companies such as Tesla, Apple, Nvidia, which most people are amply familiar with.
The purpose of this blog is to share my thoughts on the market, and also provide support for students / professionals who are looking to break into Sales & Trading. I will post interview guides / courses to help readers understand the industry in an intuitive way, as it is very difficult to obtain a nuanced understanding without actual industry experience. Similar to doctors describing surgery to those who have never worked on the operating table.
